Sacred Heart University is a private Catholic university in Fairfield, Connecticut, United States, founded in 1963 by Walter W. Curtis, bishop of the Diocese of Bridgeport. It offers more than 80 degree programs at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels to over 8,500 students and is the second-largest Catholic university in New England, after Boston College.
