About Us
1.2 million students go on Erasmus each year. 1.5 million students start master's programs. 18.8 million people enter their first semester of a bachelor's degree, every single year. These numbers represent Europe alone and our goal is to help these 20 million students find the best city, program, club, friends, bar, and university possible.
We know that some of these experiences can be, for lack of a better word, shit shows. This was caused by our biggest problem: every university website we've tried is overly complicated, full of ads and paywalls, or student reviews that can't tell you a single thing about your school. University Rates is an unfiltered site made by students for students where you can hear what it's actually like to attend any university in Europe or the United States. If education teaches us honesty, it's time that we create more honesty for students in the education system. We have created the largest and deepest database for universities across these countries and reached over 30,000 students to help others find their perfect university. Our database currently hosts:

50+
more data points
European and American universities share 50 more data points than listed here.
Students across Europe and the United States invest countless amounts of time, money, and work into their education and it is still almost impossible to get real transparent information about universities, courses, and the city. This data along with 500+ student reviews gives a real perspective on any university in the United States or Europe, helping you find anything from academic rankings to the price of a beer.
For us, this site is a forever free service for our fellow students without the countless spam emails, paywalls, and fake testimonials. This is only possible when you take 30 seconds to leave a review on your university, good or bad, and help other people hear the real story about your university.
Every university. All in one place.
Thank you, Connor & Calvin
