Minot State University is a public university in Minot, North Dakota, United States, founded in 1913 as a normal school. It became a university in 1987 and offers more than 60 undergraduate majors, along with nine master's degrees and one education specialist degree. The institution is part of the North Dakota University System and its mascot is the beaver.
