Benedictine University is a private Catholic university with campuses in Lisle, Illinois, and Mesa, Arizona. Founded in 1887 by Benedictine monks of St. Procopius Abbey, it maintains a close relationship with the Benedictine Order. Its Lisle campus is in the western Chicago metropolitan area near Argonne National Laboratory and Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory.
