Comenius University Bratislava is a university in Bratislava, Slovakia, established in 1919 soon after the creation of Czechoslovakia, with most of its faculties located in the city. It is Slovakia's largest university, was named for the 17th-century Czech teacher and philosopher Jan Amos Comenius, and had approximately 23,000 students and 2,500 faculty members in 2020; most of its funding comes from the government.
