University of Mons

The University of Mons is a Belgian university located in Mons, established on 1 January 2009 through the merger of the Engineering Faculty of Mons and the University of Mons-Hainaut. The merger followed the complementary nature and shared location of the two institutions, and Prof. Calogero Conti, formerly rector of the Engineering Faculty of Mons, became its first rector. It is the fourth of six universities in the French Community of Belgium and has more than 10,000 students.
