University of Geneva

The University of Geneva is a public research university in Geneva, Switzerland, founded in 1559 by French theologian John Calvin as a theological seminary. It later developed into a center for Enlightenment scholarship and became officially secular in 1873. Today, it is Switzerland's third-largest university by student numbers, and almost 40% of its students come from more than 150 foreign countries.
