UCLouvain is a private French-speaking Catholic university in Belgium, located primarily in Louvain-la-Neuve, a town built to accommodate it, with smaller campuses in Brussels, Charleroi, Mons, Tournai and Namur. Originally established in 1425, it traces its modern French-language institution to the 1968 division of the Catholic University of Leuven, after which it moved to Louvain-la-Neuve in Wallonia. Since 2018, it has used the UCLouvain name following a merger with Saint-Louis University, Brussels.
