Tor Vergata University of Rome is a public research university in Rome, Italy, established in 1982. Located in the southeastern suburb of the city, it combines a liberal arts tradition with career-oriented education in fields including economics, engineering, humanities, mathematics, physics and natural sciences, and medicine and surgery. Its campus was designed to evoke the atmosphere of Anglophone university campuses, and its current rector is Nathan Levialdi Ghiron, a professor at the School of Engineering and former vice-rector.
