RPTU University Kaiserslautern-Landau is a public research university with campuses in Kaiserslautern and Landau, Germany, established on 1 January 2023 through the merger of the Technical University of Kaiserslautern and the Landau campus of the University of Koblenz and Landau. It has 16 faculties and about 17,000 students, and cooperates with nearby research institutions including two Fraunhofer Institutes, the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems, and the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence. RPTU is also a member of the Software-Cluster, which won the German government’s Spitzencluster competition.
