Fulda University of Applied Sciences is located in Fulda, in the Fulda district of Hesse, southwest Germany. Founded in 1974 as the fifth state University of Applied Sciences in Hesse, it was formerly known as Fachhochschule Fulda. It is the first German University of Applied Sciences to receive the right to award PhD degrees.
