Aarhus University

Aarhus University is a public research university founded in 1928 in Aarhus, Denmark, where its main campus is located. It comprises five faculties and 27 departments and is home to more than 30 internationally recognized research centres, including 15 centres of excellence funded by the Danish National Research Foundation. Its alumni and affiliates include C++ inventor Bjarne Stroustrup, Queen Margrethe II, King Frederik X, former Danish prime minister and NATO secretary general Anders Fogh Rasmussen, and Nobel laureates Jens Christian Skou, Trygve Haavelmo, and Dale T. Mortensen.
