Aalto University is a public research university in Espoo, Finland, established in 2010 through the merger of the Helsinki University of Technology, the Helsinki School of Economics, and the University of Art and Design Helsinki. Its six schools support collaboration among scientific, business, and arts communities, and its main campus is in Otaniemi. The university is named after Finnish architect and designer Alvar Aalto.
